Soap Nuts

Soap Nuts, sometimes called the Chinese Soap Berry, are an excellent laundry detergent. Unlike, the harsh detergents that are sold commercially, Soap Nuts are an effective but gentle soap and cleanser. They contain no bleaching agents, thus they are safe for colors as well as for whites.

Unsurpassed at removing odors from laundry. They are chemical and fragrance free.

How to Use Soap Nuts

- Take 4- 6 soap nut shells and place them in a small muslin bag (usually provided), tie tightly and toss into the washing machine with warm water. If you are using cold water, place the muslin bag in a bowl of warm water first to release the saponins.

- Add your clothes and start the normal laundry cycle. You may leave the bag in your washer through the entire cycle including the rinse

cycle. - Don't place the soap nuts in the dryer!

-This set of soap nuts can be used for 5 to 6 loads or until the nuts become gray and mushy.

- Once used up as a laundry soap, boil the remaining shells in a little water and use the remaining liquid as a hand soap, shampoo, for general cleaning or for those dirty dishes in the sink.
